# Desktop Number Lines - V2

This is an alternative version of our original Desktop Number Line. The download includes two 1-10, and one 1-20 number lines, each less than 30cm long; ideal for cutting out and laminating for use on a desk.

As before, each number line features mathstick characters; with the first version here, however, coloured blocks are used to reinforce the pattern of odd and even numbers.

The mathstick characters appear in blocks of 5 to show counting in 5's.

The 1-20 numberline can be matched alongside the 1-10 numberlines to further reinforce counting in two's.

The second number line is identical except that the alternating coloured blocks have been removed.

Here's a link to our original Desktop Number Lines.

### dawn147,  Good to hear this

dawn147,

Good to hear this is working well for you and your class. We have just posted another number line with a Car theme - you can see it here: Cars - Number Line.

I hope this one is useful too.

### I used this today as part of

I used this today as part of a 'guess my number' game.  One player writes down a number between 1 and 20 inclusive.  The other player can ask questions like 'is it greater than 4?', 'is it even?', 'is it a multiple of 5'.  It went down really well - thanks mathsticks!

### This is a fantastic resource.

This is a fantastic resource. I like the way the odd numbers are coloured green. This will be a very visual reminder for children. Thank you :-)
